Measurement of an array of student outcomes provides feedback about how well individual courses, programs, and the college as a whole are accomplishing their stated missions and goals. Assessment aims at the continuing improvement of student development, and is generally consistent with a "value-added" concept of education; note that the rationale for having better programs is to ensure better student outcomes. (Richard Frye - http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dialogue/issue2.html - Western Washington University)- Recommendation #5 - Accreditation report stated: "The college should accelerate efforts to complete the development and inclusion of Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Cycle in all courses, college programs, and services"

College instructors and students have the right to expect nothing less than adult behavior from everyone in the classroom. Immature and disruptive behavior, in fact, tends to discourage better students from attending and impacts the quality of students who do enroll" - Cuyahoga Community College (OH) - http://www.oncourseworkshop.com/Miscellaneous003.htm "Handling Disruptive Students"
